Kelly Estes

kelly_estesKelly J Estes has served as President of BTI Corporation for the past 20 years following a long line of Estes blood starting with his Grandfather in 1944 and to this day continuing with his son Jeremie J Estes.

Kelly J Estes, prior to becoming President of BTI, worked in various divisions of their John Deere Dealership, in Bucklin, Kansas learning the ins and outs of each. Starting as a mechanic in 1975, he was able to work on numerous tractors, combines and implements. After 4 years, he made a move into the parts department where he was able to help thousands of farmers and customers.

After becoming president in 1987, Estes along with his family of executives purchased Greensburg Tractor in 1997 and another in 2007, Ness City, Kansas John Deere Dealership. Kelly J Estes and the BTI Corporation have been honored with numerous awards over the past 63 years including such prestigious awards as The John Deere Kansas City All Stars Sales Award and being members for 17 years on the John Deere Manager’s Club. Although one of their dealerships was tragically devastated by an EF5 Tornado on May 4, 2007, Kelly and the entire BTI Corporation remain strong and look to rebuild and continue the growth. Not only did they continue to thrive as a company, they grew. Since the Tornado, BTI has acquired 2 other John Deere dealerships welcoming the teams from Ness City and Pratt, Kansas to their family.

Even though he has been busy with his career, Estes never forgot about giving back to the community and business world. He served on numerous boards; The Bucklin National Bank Advisory Board for 12 years, Bucklin United Methodist Church Chairman for the Finance Committee 2 years, Southwestern Association Federated Insurance Board for 5 years, 2 years as the President for Bucklin Lion’s Club as well as 4 years on the USD #459 School Board.

Kelly and his wife Deborah after living in Bucklin for the past 32 years have recently moved to Pratt, Kansas. They both enjoy spending time with their family, which consists of their son Jeremie J, his wife Kay and their daughter Kyndra Shea who live in Bucklin; and their daughter Haley Estes who resides in Denver, Colorado and has recently joined the family business in the Wind Energy Division.
