BTI Wind Energy is one of the many success stories that were born in the aftermath of total devastation.  On May 4th, of 2007, Greensburg Kansas was completely destroyed by one of the most powerful tornados ever documented.  In the midst of that devastation was a family owned John Deere Dealership that had survived the storms of the past 65 years. This time, the Estes’ were not so lucky!  Along with every other business in Greenburg, the tornado completely destroyed the dealership, all of its inventory, and the largest employer in town. Greensburg and BTI were not to be defeated! The small southwest Kansas Town resolved to rebuild as the Greenest City in America! BTI was no different. Led by President, Kelly Estes and General Manager Mike Estes, BTI Greensburg was reborn! This time the business was opened with a new addition, BTI Wind Energy LLC. As part of the “green” rebuilding process, the Estes’ joined forces with Endurance Wind Power to utilize wind as the driving force in building the worlds first LEED Platinum industrial facility. Today BTI Wind Energy in partnership with Endurance Wind Power is positioned as an industry leader in “small wind” technology, sales and service!

BTI Wind Energy functions as the Master Distributor on the North American Continent for Endurance Wind Power Turbines. As part of our responsibility to the BTI/Endurance partnership, we have accepted the challenge of hand selecting and developing distributor locations in all 50 US states, as well as, all 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada. The network is scheduled to be completely built out by November 1st, 2009. The unique advantage of our organization is our full service strategy. In studying the failures of the “small wind” industry in the previous 40 years, BTI took an approach that would fill the gaping holes of the past. First, by coming to market with a turbine encompassing advanced technology and extraordinary reliability. Secondly, in developing a knowledgeable, reliable local sales organization designed to provide high visibility and access to our customers. Lastly, we provide the key to long-term success; a well trained, highly mobile, and efficient maintenance team. Each distributor organization is equipped to take all projects from conception to completion and provide complete service support for the life of our customer’s turbine. “We take extreme pride in the fact that our technicians can be onsite within 1-2 days, while our competitors have trouble getting their machines back in service in 1-2 months. We employ a staff of 16 salesmen that have been certified to sell our products in Kansas.  They are dispatched from 4 locations of BTI John Deere Dealerships in Bucklin, Greensburg, Ness City and Pratt. To build on the traditions of the Midwest farming community, BTI Wind trademarked the motto “We Harvest the Wind”. “Wind is an unlimited natural resource that our customers can harvest to stabilize their economic and energy futures.
